Jobs in Nuclear Energy and Offshore Oil & Gas

February 17th, 2010 by Barry Potier

We have fantastic opportunities for talented candidates to work with one of the UK’s largest consultancies who are rapidly growing their Nuclear/Oil and Gas function. This company has been in the market since 1970 and is now one of the largest independent firms working with major Nuclear Energy and Oil and Gas producers. Their expertise spans all the engineering disciplines and associated competencies and they are specialists in the application of advanced analysis techniques, combined with practical design and operational experience.

The energy and utilities sector in the UK comprises oil, gas and petroleum, as well as nuclear power. The oil and gas industry has been self-sufficient since 1980 and it is expected to remain self-sufficient in oil until approximately 2016, and in gas until well into this century.  The oil and gas industry consists of more than 200 companies including large multinational oil companies, supermarkets, retailers and rural filling stations. The nuclear industry itself employs over 50,000 people in the UK. Nuclear power provides 22% of the UK’s electricity.
