Scott Wilson to win £10m Farringdon Crossrail Design Contract
June 3rd, 2009 by Barry PotierScott Wilson look set to win the Central London, Farringdon Station Crossrail Design Contract reported to be worth £10 Million.
The contract wil comprise of two new tickets halls with a western facility on the south-east corner of Farringdon Road and Cowcross Street and an eastern junction at Lindsey Street. Two 210m-long platforms will be constructed between the east and west ticket halls to accommodate operation of 10 car trains.
The ticket halls will be at street level and will provide an interchange between Crossrail and the proposed Thameslink 2000. Construction on the station is expected to take between four and five years.
