Planning and Scheduling Symposium – Post Event Reaction

July 18th, 2012 by Simon Haddock

Resourcing Solutions were delighted to be part of the first ever Planning and Scheduling Symposium held at The Brewery on 12th July. We would like to pass our thanks to the organisers Athena Project Services who put this all together and to Cathi Ulsenheimer at Project Promotions for ensuring the day went without a hitch.

The Symposium was a collection of 15 exhibitors all with a purpose within the Planning Engineering market. From software companies to industry forums all were there with a common goal – to raise awareness of the industry in a booming infrastructure market.

Our planning team: Richard Hodgkins, Rebecca Sewell, Lorna Ridd and Abigail Roberts all attended and met with a number of known and prospective candidates and clients. The Planning, Project Controls and Programme Management division is an integral part of the Resourcing Solutions business providing both permanent and contract recruitment across Infrastructure and the Built environment.

With the need for talent evident across all Infrastructure sectors, it’s great to see companies being proactive in raising awareness in what is an exciting market to work in. With a number of dedicated courses now available to drive fresh talent, there has never been a better time to be part of the Planning Engineering industry.

The Gala Awards dinner that followed the Symposium proved to be a spectacular success.  The atmosphere, food and entertainment were a real hit and the Award Ceremony itself was a great mix between the serious and the fun.

Feedback from our clients and business associates is, that, going forward they are keen to attend again, sponsor awards and nominate their own talented and versatile  people for the 2013 awards.

We look forward to supporting the continued success of both events!
