Which recruitment solution is best for your needs?
March 22nd, 2011 by Simon HaddockOver the past ten years, we have seen major changes in the way our clients fill their temporary staffing requirements. What was once an uncontrolled local activity is now a highly transparent and process driven activity.
We now have a market that provides recruitment solutions such as Managed Services Programmes (MSP) and Preferred Supplier Lists (PSL). But how do clients know which one is best for their business?
MSPs are well suited to clients with large, ongoing recruitment programmes who need to fill vacancies requiring generic skill sets. Direct contact with line managers is removed and instead communication is channelled through a single point of contact. However, this model is not suitable for companies recruiting people with niche and high demand skill sets where interaction with line managers is vital to successful fulfilment.
The Preferred Supplier List model, on the other hand, allows suppliers to build up individual relationships and gain an in-depth knowledge of the workings and culture of a client’s business. PSLs should be niche and small enough that suppliers can build relationships with the business without disrupting it.
Being a specialist niche recruiter, Resourcing Solutions consultants are always at hand to advise clients which option is best suited to their individual business needs.
