Ed Miliband and the DECC under fire
March 23rd, 2009 by Barry PotierEd Miliband, Government Minister for Energy and Climate Change, and his Department the DECC, are under attack amid claims of “dithering”. It is claimed that the department is clearly in a state of paralysis by opposition energy spokesman Greg Clark and top executives from energy companies who despair at the departments apparent inability to take tough decisions.
This is refuted by the DECC who in turn claim that during the past 6 months they have alredy managed to get two new acts through parliament which will aid the target for cutting emissions by at least 80%!
Who is right and who is wrong? What are your experiences of the effectiveness of the DECC and in particular the performance of Ed Miliband himself, if you have a view please let us know.
