Data Centres/Cloud Computing – The future of IT infrastructure

The terms “data centres” and “cloud computing” may come as new buzz words to the uninitiated but they’re key to the technology we use each day. What’s more, future internet technology will start to rely heavily on these systems to enable even greater storage capacity and enhanced websites. Websites like Facebook, Google and Yahoo store all their infrastructure in substantial data centres. Google alone has 19 data centres in the USA with 17 more dotted around the globe. (more…)
