Unemployment in the UK reaches 2 Million, next stop 3?

Unemployment in the UK is now above two million for the first time since 1997.  The number of people out of work between November and January reached 2.03 million and at the time of writing the unemployment rate is 6.5%, with the number of people claiming jobseeker’s allowance increasing  by a record 138,400 to 1.39 million.
