A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join one of the globes largest design consultancies; they seek a Senior Structural Engineer to join their expanding Oil and Gas Division in Central London.
This organisation provides services across a wide range of disciplines and applications covering fixed and floating offshore structures, terminals, refineries, petrochemical plants and pipelines working on some of the most exciting and varied projects in the Oil and Gas sector.
You will be responsible for conducting structural engineering analysis and design work for all types of offshore structures including fixed and floating. Your key responsibilities will include completion and delivery of engineering consultancy work for all types of offshore structures including fixed, floating and subsea, maintaining and developing client relationships. You will also ensure the provision of efficient high quality structural engineering and will be responsible for meeting cost and time targets in delivering high quality consultancy services to oil and gas industry clients.
It is essential you have a good engineering degree (honours or equivalent) in civil, mechanical, structural, naval architecture or similar and as a minimum, working towards chartered status in a recognised engineering institution. Offshore/marine structural analysis and/or design experience is also important as is experience with FEA packages (ideally SACS, ASAS, USFOS or ABAQUS).
Preferably, you have an understanding of wave loading and vessel motions and some experience in advanced finite element analysis with the ability to build relationships and win work from clients through existing framework agreements.
