Following the recent award of large multidisciplinary rail engineering project, our client is seeking an experienced Signalling and Telecommunications Installation Manager who has proven experience of the ‘hands on’ installation of Signalling and Telecommunication equipment on Metro / Underground or Light Rail schemes.
Role and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Project Manager you will be accountable for the control, supervision and direction of a team of installers involved in the installation of all signalling and telecommunication systems for a new LRT system. You will be involved with carrying out detailed site surveys, as well as being critically responsible for the safety of the work site ensuring the work is done on time and within budget. Also, you will be accountable for the production of site specific instructions, close liaison with the client and their representatives, together with contractors and engineering companies engaged on the project.
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have a ‘hands on’ approach to their work with have proven experience of leading and controlling a team involved with the installation of signalling equipment on Metro / Underground or Light Rail schemes. Also, you will be knowledgeable of train control communication systems, be safety and delivery focussed, able to carry out site surveys and testing of S&T equipment on completion of work, ability to communicate with the design and construction teams, the client and their representatives.
