This is a great opportunity for an experienced Highways Engineer to join a global design and engineering company based in Wokingham; This is a chance for a motivated professional to take the next step in their career working with a renowned and respected consultancy.

As Highways Engineer, you will join their Highways Development Control (HDC) Team undertaking Section 278 design assessment including checking of detailed engineering drawings and inspection of highway works on-site

You will expected to liaise with Members, town and parish councils, other groups and Key stakeholders along with dealing with queries raised by members of the public in relation to s278 works

The successful Highways Engineer will hold a relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent professional qualification with detailed knowledge/experience of engineering design and construction methodology

You will also have experience working with in a local council authority in checking and assessing Section 278 Designs with fantastic ability in project and programme management. It will also be beneficial if you possess working knowledge of current national, regional and local guidance/standards with regards to the fields of highway and traffic engineering.

In return for your skills and commitment, you will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package including a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 combined with a first-class benefits package.
