We are acting on behalf of an extremely well known engineering design consultancy who are currently looking for a Civil Engineer/Technician to join their team in Derby.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone in the early days of their civil engineering career to work directly with an experienced team leader and gain a diversity of experience which will stand them in good stead for the rest of their career.

The role itself will involve supporting a programme of site investigations and condition assessments of a water company's strategic water distribution infrastructure assets but undoubtedly you will also get involved in other civil engineering activities

To be suitable you will be degree qualified in a Civil Engineering discipline or equivalent to the UK standard OR will have a number of years relevant experience with appropriate Higher Education qualifications.

You must have GIS/CAD experience (any of AutoCAD, Mapinfo or ArcView), be self-motivated and diligent and above all will want to grasp this for the opportunity it presents.

UK Water company experience and any design experience within clean and wastewater infrastructure will be a major advantage.
