Based in Hamburg, northern Germany, we require the services of a professional, competent and respected High Voltage Grid Connection Engineer with German and English language skills.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Leading the electrical part of the turn key offshore substation
• Leading technical negotiations with contractors, vendors and partners and develop the technical specification
• Management of the interface to transmission system operator (TSO)
• Leading technical negotiations with TSO and partners to develop the technical part for an envisaged grid connection contract
• Leading grid compliance studies (static and dynamic models)
• Interface management to all packages
• Definition of technical key requirements of technical specifications
• Add overall project management requirements such as QA, expediting, cost control, tracking/negotiation of claims etc. as appropriate
• Approval of design in accordance with project specific required applicable codes, norms, internal standards, standards and regulatory requirements.

Your experience and qualifications will be:

• Electrical engineer with good knowledge in low, medium and high voltage and control/protection technology
• Project management skills including contract management
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project etc.)
• Experience in wind energy business
• High HSE awareness
• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and decision making skills
• Flexibility, good physical fitness and willingness to travel required
• Experience in quality management
• Good ability to liaise with other departments/clients where necessary
• Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively in English and German
