Resourcing Solutions are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a world renowned engineering consultancy. You will join an established Development Infrastructure team in Basingstoke who specialises in providing sustainable development infrastructure solutions from initial concepts, through planning, to full implementation.

Your key role will be the day to day project coordination and supervision/ mentoring of a small team of Technician/ Engineer grades whilst at the same time providing hands-on design in the preparation of planning applications through to construction drawing packages. You can expect to be active on a number of projects / client accounts at any given time. You will report to an Associate or Technical Director.

It is essential to have relevant industry experience and be at or approaching CEng, MICE status and be able to demonstrate significant experience in adoptable and non-adoptable highway and drainage design for infrastructure/ development projects.

You must have detailed knowledge of the design of highways using PDS, (or similar software packages), sewers using WINDES, the use of AutoCAD, together with experience in applying Highways Agency, Local Authority and Sewers for Adoption design guidance with an ability to prepare contract documents (drawings and specification) and drawing packages to support s278, s38 and s104 Agreements.

You should also have experience designing private building drainage and external works/ levels to the appropriate UK regulations. You must be able to demonstrate how you have used your initiative to research alternative engineering solutions.

Probably from a consultancy or developer background with a heavy bias on private sector work you will need to have good written and spoken communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.
