Due to the successful award of a number of new contracts and long term frameworks within the South East and M4 Corridor, an innovative and multi-disciplined rail engineering contractor is seeking to employ skilled P6 Planners to be based in their offices in Radlett.

The positions we have are highly rewarding and will see you support the preparation and development of project programmes ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and to budget.

The Role and Requirements

The key purpose of the role of Planner is to support all planning and reporting activities for selected projects. You will develop comprehensive project programmes using Primavera P3e/P3 and P6 incorporating all resource, materials and cost estimates as well as providing all earned value forecasting and reporting. You will monitor and analyse each programme on a regular basis and provide accurate data to the Project Managers ensuring that all project activities are delivered against time and budget. You will attend regular project meetings updating the project teams on all engineering activity. 

Requirements

In order to be considered for the position of Planning Engineer, candidate will need to demonstrate and possess the following:

* Experienced in project planning
* Excellent knowledge of Primavera P3e / P3 / MS Project and P6
* Good knowledge and practice of Earned Value Management / Forecasting (EVM)
* Experience of working on UK engineering projects

In return you will be offered a starting salary of between £30,000 - £38,000 dependant on experience accompanied with 25 days annual leave with the option of additional days, pension and other excellent benefits.
