Quality Assurance Manager

High profile civil engineering contracting company currently has an urgent  requirement for a Quality Assurance Manager to supervise and advise QA activities on a range of rail and civil engineering projects across the UK.

Based from the company head office in Hertfordshire, the role will involve advising project teams on all quality management aspects of this major infrastructure projects both internally and externally and provide support to the Project Director and interface regularly with the company's clients.

You will be required to provide input into project Quality Management Systems  in order to comply with company requirements and legislation, and frequently liaise with third parties, such as local authorities and BSI. You must have experience in providing regular quality briefings, training and updates to project team, sub-contractors and suppliers as necessary, and also collating and reporting quality management data and trends for project and business KPIs.

You will ideally have membership of the CQI, a full awareness of ISO9001, and will have experience of working in a heavy civil engineering contracting environment with excellent knowledge of construction or rail processes and procedures at site level. You will preferably be degree qualified in a relevant discipline, and ideally hold Lead Auditor status.
