A market leading organisation in railway electrification is currently recruiting for a Traction Power Design Engineer to join their central design team based in central London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer to work on major projects across the UK.

The successful applicant will report to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for outline and detailed design of AC and DC electrification networks providing traction power to overground and underground railways. This role also includes responsibility for compiling, running and maintaining models for power flow and short circuit analysis of railway systems as well as their connection to National Grid or Distribution Network Operators.

To be considered for this position applicants MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK without restrictions. Applicants must also have previous experience of rail power electrical design on both AC and DC systems.

The successful applicant in this position can expect a base salary of up to £55,000 depending on experience and a very attractive benefits package.
