A highly established brand in the international transport systems engineering market seeks to employ a rail signalling professional in the position of Principal Engineer based in Central London.

This is a key role which will see you play an integral part in the development of their UK and European business unit. With some major programmes already secured and other lucrative contracts nearing award this is an exciting time to join this leading brand.

The Role

The key purpose of the role of Principal Engineer is to manage the development and design of signalling and control engineering systems for their European business unit. You will be the engineering/technical lead on all projects and act as the client’s technical interface. Working closely with the client’s design teams, you will lead the company’s project delivery team in successfully delivering a variety of signalling and control projects. You will manage the coordination of all designs from various international offices as well as UK based suppliers. You will also be accountable for all technical compliance on all projects.

Requirements

In order to be considered for the role of Principal Engineer all applicants will need to demonstrate and possess the following:

*Current of previous experience within the UK signalling market
*Experience of signalling control systems including development, design and operation
*Experience of interfacing with clients, design teams and sub-contractors
*Knowledge of UK and European operational standards

The Package

In return the successful Principal Engineer can expect a starting salary of up to £70,000 dependant on experience, pension, bonus based on the company and individual performance, 25 days holiday rising to 28 after 3 years’ service and other flexible benefits.
