Project Controls Engineer / Planner

A renowned international multi-disciplinary organisation that provide a range of services to rail, energy, power and engineering industries are looking to recruit two Planners to join them on oil and gas projects in Scotland.  They value themselves on their consistent record for safety, quality and industry integrity, along with an excellent employer reputation. 

The Role

The key function of the role of Planner will implement the planning and programming activities of projects to meet the objectives on time and within budget on oil and gas projects to include pipework, Mechanical and Electrical, facility upgrades. 

Main areas of responsibility include developing cost plans and cash flows and reporting of plan against actual progress and forecasts to date.  You will give full input into change control and provide planning and schedule date input and monthly reporting. 

You will effectively communicate with the project team to resolve unforeseen planning issues and frequently update various involved teams.

Requirements

All applicants will need to meet the following criteria to be considered:

* Degree qualified in relevant discipline preferred
* Substantial planning experience
* Oil and Gas / Pharmaceutical background
* Primavera 6 planning tool
* Client side experience / solid work history
* Strong communications skills
