As a result of ongoing expansion, a well renowned and rapidly growing industrial and environmental service business who manage contracts typically covering the complete water cycle are seeking a Project Development Engineer to be based either in Central Scotland or West Yorkshire.

This role requires an engineering design background but with strong proposals/estimating experience.

You will play a key role in supporting the UK proposals and Engineering team in developing robust designs and formal proposals for submission to existing and prospective Clients, both in-house and externally to secure a pipeline of future activity for the business.

Working closely with the Business Development Team throughout the UK, you will assume a varied role including acting as a front-end mechanical or piping  draughtsman/designer, developing links and liaising with the supply chain to obtain appropriate technical and commercial information, participating in the production of formal proposals and also project management for equipment installation projects.

The successful Project Development Engineer will have as much as possible of the following skills/experience:

* An engineering design background, ideally with a mechanical bias but with strong multi-disciplinary knowledge
* Recent AutoCAD experience.
* Experience of process engineering.
* Relevant experience of proposal development and costing
* Experience of partner / vendor / supply chain liaison
* Experience in water / wastewater treatment processes, preferably in an industrial environment
* Experience of formal costing / estimating management systems

Educationally you will have a minimum of an HNC in a relevant engineering discipline and will be computer literate across AutoCAD, Lotus Notes and the Microsoft Office suite of applications.

This role will involve an element of travel and could as easily be based in Central Scotland or West Yorkshire travelling to prospective client sites as required.
