A leading multi disciplined international engineering company is seeking to  employ an ambitious Procurement Assistant to join their rail division of their  business. This challenging position is to be based in their head office in Surrey and will see you supporting a variety of contracts on a lucrative   framework.

The key purpose of the role of Procurement Assistant is to provide professional advice and support to the Supply Chain Manager
The Procurement Assistant will process requisitions to quality, time, price and quantity ensuring that high service levels are achieved for both internal   and external customers. You will prepare subcontract documentation and issue subcontract tenders as required working closely with the estimating and   project management teams.  As well as producing key documentation, you will also attend regular procurement meetings where you will produce accurate agendas, minutes and associated documents.  Other responsibilities will include entering data onto the supply chain database and also producing statistical analysis for specific rail projects.

If you would like to be considered for this role, you will need to have experience of working with MS Office, Mentor, Access, Excel and databases and will have previous experience working in a Procurement Assistant, Assistant/Junior Buyer or Purchasing Assistant position.  Experience of working in the rail, civil engineering or construction industries would be a distinct benefit.
