A large infrastructure consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work within their utilities sector MEICA team on energy, water and wastewater related projects. As a client they are very proactive in multiskilling their staff across different sectors thereby increasing your skill and experience base and giving them flexibility of opportunity.
You will be involved in the preparation of bids, technical reports, mechanical design calculations, contract specifications, costings and schedules for such as:
* CHP and biomass energy centre plants
* District heating systems
* Pumping plant and associated valves and pipework
* Water and wastewater treatment process plant
* Food waste and sewage sludge digestion
You will take the technical lead on small to medium sized projects with direct client contact and responsibility to deliver technical excellence and exceed client expectations. You will also have the opportunity to project manage MEICA led projects comprising multi-disciplinary teams.
You will be a chartered engineer (or very close) and will hold a relevant engineering degree. A relevant post graduate degree would be an advantage. You will be able to demonstrate successful technical delivery of process plant systems on water utility or energy based projects and will have experience of acting in a lead capacity.
You will ideally come from an engineering design consultancy or design and build contractor and any experience of working on international projects would be of interest.
