A Major Railway Contractor is seeking 2 Railway Operational Telecommunications Design Engineers to join it's railway telecoms engineering team based in Birmingham.
As a Railway Operational Telecoms Design Engineer you will be assisting with mostly GRIP 4-5 design requirements for operational telecommunications installations for a wide variety of multi-disciplinary railway projects and re-signalling schemes. You will be responsible for the day to design work within a Railway Telecommunications project team, which will include survey through to completion of projects.
To be considered for this role you will have previous railway operational telecoms design experience including design work at least one or more of the following on the mainline railway infrastructure in the UK: concentrator renewals, SPTs, PETs, FTN/GSMR, Copper and Fibre cable design, transmission, telecoms circuits, SCADA and FTN migration works. You should ideally hold a valid PTS (Ideally IWA) and it would be preferable although not essential to hold IRSE telecoms design licence.
In return for your skills and experience you will be rewarded with a contract rate of in the region of £275-£325 Per Day. You will receive initially a 6 Month Contract with a view to extend for the right candidate.
