The remodelling of the building, worth £40 million, relies heavily on new steel structures as well as expertly managed demolition work. Bourne Construction were enlisted to manage both these elements and partnered with Resourcing Solution’s built environment team to resource the project efficiently.
Bourne Construction asked Resourcing Solutions to provide high quality candidates who were skilled in steel and demolition works. Candidates needed to be resourced at short notice. Due to the profile of the project, its complexity as well as its prime location in the heart of London, the brief also emphasised finding staff with a number of years of experience. Furthermore, Bourne Construction were looking for some particularly scarce candidates including spider lift handlers and IPAF 1b license holders.
Resourcing Solutions Service
By enlisting Resourcing Solutions’ expertise, Bourne Construction were able to make budget savings as they negated the use of higher cost specialist demolition and steel subcontractors. After 20 years in engineering and construction recruitment, Resourcing Solutions has developed large candidate communities which the built environment team immediately tapped into, to provide the necessary skills and resources.
Resourcing Solutions’ internal compliance procedures ensured that candidates were ready to carry out work in a safe and timely way.
“We were really impressed with the way Resourcing Solutions understood our needs and delivered the brief, particularly as we were looking for some scarce resources. We asked the team to provide solutions outside of their usual core business and on a high profile, complex retained façade project in a prime location in central London. They rose to the challenge effortlessly and with honesty, providing a large demolition and steel package of work, delivered on time and budget”.
