New director appointed

Resourcing Solutions has appointed a new Business Development Director from the infrastructure market that they specialise in, as the company carries on growing.

Specialist recruiter in the rail, power and built environment sectors, Resourcing Solutions has appointed Tom Holbrow as the company’s Group Business Development Director.

The move signals a new phase for the company as it consolidates its presence in the rail and power sectors while growing its built environment (construction) and international offering.

Tom joins Resourcing Solutions from Balfour Beatty, where he was responsible for regional business development in the Construction Services division. Tom oversaw the implementation of the business strategy and secured new business for the Balfour Beatty Regional Civil Engineering and Mansell companies.

Tom has worked for a number of manufacturers, M&E contractors and large main contracting organisations, originally serving an apprenticeship as an Electrical Engineer. For the last 13 years, Tom has operated in a business development environment. Tom’s knowledge of the Built Environment and Infrastructure sectors has enabled him to develop and implement effective strategies that have brought benefit to a number of businesses.

In the last 12 months alone, Resourcing Solutions has increased its headcount by over 20% bringing the total number of employees to 82. This includes the addition of a UK based built environment recruitment team, additional resources in the rail team and a growing international team based in Dubai.

Richard Lawrance, CEO says: “Despite difficult economic times in recent years, our business is continuing to grow year on year.

“The need for experts in our sectors is never more important with infrastructure projects on the up and our clients continue to turn to us to find that expertise. Recent recruitment assignments have included providing a wide range of specialists - from multi-utility site operatives for work on the Olympic Park to Project Directors for rail projects in the Far East. We want to continue this success and with his industry experience and leadership skills, I am delighted to welcome Tom on board.”
