It wasn’t just a walk in the park for the Resourcing Solutions Three Peaks team this weekend.
Richard Lawrance, Mark Murphy, Dan Lovejoy, Richard Hodgkins and Huckleberry the dog teamed up for a test walk before they take on the Three Peaks Challenge in June.
The team (minus dog!) will be taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales in just 48 hours.
The team are raising funds for Railway Children - that fights for vulnerable children who live on the streets, where they suffer abuse and exploitation.
Richard Lawrance, CEO said
‘We’ve had orienteering lessons and thought it would be a good idea to have a test walk as the challenge is only about seven weeks away. Although the terrain was nothing in comparison to the mountains we need to climb, it was a good opportunity to test out our kit and see how many blister plasters we need to pack!
‘We also have a mountain to climb in terms of raising sponsorship and are just a third of our way to reach our target of £3,500. If you are able to donate even just a little – that would be amazing. We want to make a positive difference to children who suffer horrors that our children couldn’t ever imagine.’
