This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leading Utilities Company. They currently have a requirement for an experienced Supervisor for Water projects based in and around Wales.

Responsible for the effective management of labour/teams for allocated works
Ensure all works are completed in line with NRSWA requirements.
Ensuring all works are planned and completed on time.
Oversee site safety on a regular basis, reports and checks when required.
Overseeing the works carried out on-site.
You will be responsible for supervising 1 - 3 gangs

Capital Works Site Supervisor

Job Title:
Capital Works Supervisor.
South Wales / Herefordshire (Operational based).
Reports to:
Capital Works Project Manager.
Role Objective:
To provide strategic and operational expertise in all areas of their contract responsibility with regard to the installation of new mains and apparatus.
Exercise accountability and responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of all members of workforce under their supervision thus ensuring the quality of work complies within the contract specifications and environmental legislation. In addition, the role focuses on cost control, profitability, mitigation of regulatory and client liabilities.
The Site Supervisor retains responsibility for ensuring all construction operations are undertaken and completed in accordance with MUS company policy and procedures, client specifications and any relevant statutory requirements.
To ensure we maximise contract efficiencies by delivering an excellent customer service, optimising productivity on site and contributing to the business / contract targets and compliance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
? Maintain and encourage a positive health and safety culture.
? Ensure all areas of operational delivery meet MUS, Client and customer requirements.
? Ensure all works are delivered within relevant regulatory and client asset standards.
? Ensure client standards of service are met and maintained.
? Deliver financial, productivity and MUS performance standards.
? Ensure all allocated work is effectively programmed and managed so that delivery meets the client requirements.
? Input into the planning and scheduling of works using technical knowledge to help prevent abortive works.
? Ensure the site teams have all the relevant information, job details, plant, equipment and materials to complete the job.
? Carry out on site audits and onsite supervision.
? Ensure all plant is hired in and off hired in a timely manner.
? Ensure effective and efficient contact with planning team so workload is completed on a daily basis, ensuring teams are cost effective and site information is then fed back to our design / commercial team.
? Mitigate risks to health and safety, customer experience and commercial aspects of the job.
? Ensure time sheets completed correctly.
? Undertake regular toolbox talks, site inspections /audits, training and safety briefings.
? Investigate accidents / incidents and near miss reporting.
Skills Requirements:
? Full UK Driving Licence.
? Good IT skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
? Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
? Proven track record in managing site teams.
? Proven track record in delivering efficiency savings.
? Proven stakeholder and customer management skills
? Strong problem solving capabilities.
? Ability to work to tight timescales and prioritise work efficiently.
? Appreciation of health and safety legislation.
? Able to demonstrate drive and ambition to deliver an excellent and consistent customer service.
? Computer literate
? Demonstrate an awareness of the key processes and procedures required to deliver targets.
? Ability to act calmly and rationally in a pressurised environment.
? Flexibility to support the business needs as and when required.
? An enthusiastic team leader and team player.

? The ability and desire to identify opportunities for improvement within the Water Service Agreement.
NRSWA (Supervisor Level, Units 1 6)
Full UK driving license.
Recognised Health & Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely, NVQ 3 or above, SMSTS)
Water Hygiene Card (EUSR)
Up to £30k p/a DOSE
