Resourcing Solutions was approached by one of the world’s leading railway telecommunications contractors on a significant UK railway station re-modelling project.
The client required a range of people to work on the renewal of the telecommunications and station information and surveillance systems for the redevelopment of the station.
What we did
We located and attracted highly skilled project staff across installation, commissioning, supervisory and management positions. We used a range of sourcing activities including advertising, social media, our extensive candidate database and candidate referrals.
We carried out post placement obligations including on-site safety audits, random drug and alcohol checks and toolbox talks.
We worked closely with our client’s project and construction teams to review resourcing levels and overcome any resourcing challenges. For example, we maximised efficiency of the teams by reviewing the skills of the individuals to ensure that the right people with the right competencies were working on the right activities at any one time.
We supplied resources covering site installations of CCTV, public address systems, customer information systems, public help points and all business telephony and CISCO networked station management system. Teams included project engineers, design engineers, site supervisors, commissioning engineers, communications installers, electricians, electrician’s mates, cable pullers, labourers and stores operatives. In addition, we supported the client with short-notice requirements for safety critical staff.
Working to tight timescales, we were able to mobilise quickly to meet peaks and troughs in the ever changing programme of works.
Resourcing Solutions and the client continue to work closely on the project to ensure that the delivery of skills and the stringent induction requirements of the project are met.
