The brief

One of the UK’s leading public service providers required a resourcing partner to help deliver a prestigious station re-signalling and station upgrade. Resourcing Solutions was the major provider of both civils and safety critical labour as well as supervisory and engineering staffing to manage the resources.

What we did

In order to source 80 multi-disciplinary staff across civils, installation and supervisory staff, we used our extensive rail candidate database and tapped into our wider candidate network. We provided staff to focus on the main station platform extensions and refurbishment, along with civils installations and associated route works for the re-signalling part of the project. By adopting a partnership approach, we maintained a visible presence on site – ensuring that all resources were available and troubleshooting especially during blockades. We supported the project with regular on site briefings and toolbox talks, attendance of resource planning meetings and the overview and delivery of all resources on the project.

The result

By working across business development, resourcing, compliance and payroll teams, we provided over 80 multi-disciplined rail trades and safety critical staff to the client for the station project. The £20m modernisation project of the station, tracks and signals was finished on time and without a single RIDDOR. We met all our delivery milestones and played a major part in enabling the client to deliver the project on time.
